Oh that I were so eloquent,
As was Arthur Rimbaud.
Barely old enough to consent,
Yet his words made the world glow.
Truly a gifted genius with words,
Especially for one so young.
All the while keeping company with lords,
So many poems were left unsung.
Arthur Rimbaud was I have to say,
Way ahead of his time.
Truly the world does mourn the day,
He shut down the mind sublime.
A genius with words, oh that is so true,
Too soon we lost his wit.
At thirty seven he bid adieu,
But at twenty one, he called it quits.
