As I forced a smile
Had it stay a while
Yeah, I knew my faults
And I knew my desires

When I added up my steps
And I find out where they went
In the snow
Where no one else knows
That's where they go

And I could think of no other way
And I could think of no other time
To tell you just how I feel
And how much I want you to be mine

But if darkness covers the sun
Will we be blind like everyone?
Blind to the truth and to the light
Walking past everyone in sight

At least we'll be together
In the cold and in the rain
And at least we'll have each other
At least that will stay the same

So if you feel like falling down
Just know I'll catch you
Even when you think I'm wrong
Yeah, that's just what I'll do
