'As If' Poem by Aine Ni Leidhin

'As If'

Rating: 5.0

There was no knack in accepting the fate
Of lovelessness immersed in immediate state
Take for instance
Little Tragedies and comedies that were,
Unaware of the unexpected wilful intention but,
On finding fertile ground remained impasse
A bind to an end that justified itself
Accomplishing the task of modest
Abstract
State of mind
“it came to pass” needless to say
It never came to stay.

Áine, this is an extremely accurate analysis. Containing much truth, which thankfully exists in a state of transition. Thanks for making this observation and bringing it into an understandable format. Best wishes Cal
