As Old As I Am Poem by Shalom Freedman

As Old As I Am

AS OLD AS I AM

As old as I am
As sad as I am
As young as I am
As happy as I am
I am not what I am
For what I am
Is tomorrow and today and yesterday
And all these faces
And all these names
And all these games
Who I am sad as I am
Glad as I am
Do not know
Who I am
When I will not be
As I am
Neither sad as I am
Nor glad as I am
Am I I am
Or not.
