As The Water Pours Poem by Cynthia Aluning

As The Water Pours

Rating: 5.0

Dewdrops in the night
sparkle on moonlight bay
soothing mist so light
on a dawning autumn day

raindrops on my head
a parasol displayed
misty eyes no more
as long as waters pour

a swamp filled with swans
such tranquility defines
a picturesque stream
like a carousel of dream

streambed of memories
as river swiftly streaks
oceanful of passion
bursting to explode

as long as water flows
there lies unending hopes
as I await my knight
to the domain of my heart...

A particularly wonderful piece, full of excellent imageryto the extent that it is almost as if Salvador Dali took time off frompainting and wrote this. The line' 'a swamp filled with swans' particularly stands out as an unreality that has become real.
