As The Witches Walk Along Poem by Justin Gildow

As The Witches Walk Along

The night is almost here
The sun is nearly gone
And the witches know that at this time
Time is on their side

Locked inside their cottage
They're waiting for the day to end
And the night to begin

With the night finally here
They leave their cottage
And they take a walk in the woods
near their home

As the witches walk along
One's carrying a lantern
One's carrying a broom
One's carrying an autumn cane
And a black cat follows

The witches love the month of October
And they love the season of Autumn as well

As the witches walk along
They see a stream running gently along
While they greet the toads and frogs
They also see ravens fluttering their wings
wildly and menacingly
The ravens give the witches a piercing glare

After many hours
The witches make their way home
Back to their cottage
Ready to rest their weary feet
And open their spellbooks
