As We Talk Poem by Genevieve Lilith Vesta

As We Talk

As we talk on the phone,
I still feel so alone.
You don't say what you feel,
your heart must be made of steel.
How I wish it were of clay,
to mold you into my way.

As we walk along the shore,
I feel the need to say more.
How can I make you see,
that you need to be with me.
I know your now confused,
you don't want to be used.

As we sit alone,
I think you have known.
My love is strong,
to last for so long.
You know our love will last,
there is no need to move fast.

As I wait by the phone,
my heart is so alone.
I can't believe I'm still here,
I had so much to fear.

Today was better,
he wrote me a letter.
I don't know what to do,
he wrote, 'I love you! '
