As What I Do Is Right Poem by Marilyn White

As What I Do Is Right

I see the hurt in my eyes even
More and how true I am to
The ones that care the most to me
Only if they could see what it
Does to me they wouldn’t understand
So I build bridges to keep the blood
Out and no w I am building damns
To keep the water from over flowing
So I may have said to much and
Jumped the gun when I shouldn’t have
But what more was I to do when I have
On that is crying on the other end
Saying please help me I need you now
I know what I have to do but I can’t
Do something that isn’t mine anymore
You told me this all one day to late
So I sit here and I wonder why
I do the things that I do because
I don’t know prize or glory I just
What I really don’t need anymore
