As You Once Said Poem by Maria Segura

As You Once Said

There are things that we can not tell,
There are things that is better not to know,
There are things that we should not say,
But, we still go ahead and do it so.

How silly can we be,
When we hurt the ones we love,
And how useless we do feel,
when we can not take back our words.

Why do we act that way?
What makes us be so impolite?
When we can behave like human beings,
We end up acting like animals.

Life is very pleasant,
If we treat the others right,
But…how do we respond correctly,
When others have hurt us so much?

Let me tell you a little something,
I have been through quite a bit,
Don’t let sorrow, don’t let anger,
Take you and others to the pit.

Do say a little prayer,
let out a sigh and maybe a tear,
But, most of all and very important,
Be Happy! And let it all be history!
