As You Said Poem by A Waltz For Zizi

As You Said

It's true, I am afraid
I did not matter to you
even if I was like a child
devoted to the things
you spoke of.

I am as ever.
It's easier
to write letters
from the perspective
of a boy you left.

Perhaps, as you said, someday
I will be grateful to you,
though I do not think so
I still hope for it,
for It might prove
you were not that selfish.
