Asylum Lies Poem by Justina Nicole Haner

Asylum Lies

I'm behind a door,
In a straitjacket, laying on the floor,
Down my face run my tears,
They're making me face my fears.

I'm here because of my scars,
Might as well be behind bars,
Your alarms went off like a bell,
Why'd you have to tell?
