At First Look Poem by Evita Mater

At First Look

Rating: 4.5

at first look you seemed to be my escape
from lies, pain, hurt, and hate
who could know you cause harm
when you hide your true self with charm
i thought we were great friends
even if our path had many bends
you led my to belive in you
all the while forgeting i had feelings to
i thought you were nice
boy, did i pay the price
if i could go back,
i would reconize how you act
dont you understand?
you turned my heart tough, worn, and tanned
so goodbye forever
forgive you? never.

if only i saw
what you truely are
at first look
