At Last Poem by Carmen loves

It's finally time
On the plane, going home
Hearts beating adrenaline takes over
Everythings now moving slow

This is where im suppose to be I feel it
Blanking out I start fast forwording
Seeing their faces
Finally a tear of happiness rolls down my chin

All that was bad is now gone
What a feeling!
Nights crying, fake smiles, anger
gone

I see his face with that smile full of happiness
Eyes filled with love
A look I will cherish
Both frozen on the outside as we melt on the inside

I turn to the one person who I came for
I see her, nothings changed
Still that sweet look in her eyes
That laugh and tear she tries to hide
Best friends was only the beginning
now were mended till the end

We all stare with one mutual thought
“ it was worth it “
All that I thought was wrong
This is more special then it ever could have been
Time mended us closer and built our love up higher

So heres to the end of a stepping stone
and taking the step onto the next one
That will never sink
Only into our hearts
