At My Window Poem by Luke Weinberg

At My Window

hello again, i saw you at my window last night
why do you stay in the dark? , why do you stay out of sight?
did i threaten you or cause you harm
you seem nice, always sticking your arm out so i can shake it
yet my window is always closed so i never have the pleasure
you seem very tall, like between 6 and 7 feet at least
that night i heard noises and when i asked my mom what happened
she replied: they cut that branch down
so long old friend

hello again, i saw you last night at my window
why do you stay in the dark? , why do you stay out of sight?
i'm not sure you know this but you have yellow eyes like the marbles i play with
you growl when you're angry and that makes me scared
i wish you would go away or go back to your home
the next morning my mom was disgusted and said someone ran over a cat
all i could say was he wasn't a friend of mine

hello again, i saw you at dawn near my window
always making loud noises like tweet tweet.
you leave and come back
i wonder where you go
i think you bring back food for your babies and then when they are strong they will leave too

will anything stay.......
at my window
