At Night Poem by Ludolf Dauphin

At Night

Rating: 5.0

Last night
I slept on the moon
by the stars
Awaken by the cloud
I felt the wind shivering
only when I said your name
The passion it brings
The sublime poems it weeps
Had free my heart
From emptiness,
The stars from darkness
the moon suddenly
mellow of light.
It brings tears to my eye
Knowing that I can't
give you the stars
Cannot give you the moon
Nor can I ever offer the cloud
The rainbow after it rains.
But knowing their cried,
Their shine, their even love
Hearing your name,
Feeling your love,
and loving your presence.
