At The Beginning Of A Winter

Rating: 3.4

strangely the environs
wore a deserted look
though it's homeward-time

on a mildly chill road
a vehicle or two passed
by us on that early evening
as gentle and visible
darkness descended

we walked in silence
on either side of the ambling road
nothing really pressing upon us

we assured the other
of one's presence
as we once in a way
...looked at each other!

last stanza is a masterpiece........as long as we can make our presence felt to others (family, friends) , the world would be a better place to live in.... really a nice and sweet poem............10
