At The Nottingham Council House - 11th January 2006

Rating: 4.5

I wonder how it’s happened.
I know it would so do,
That there would come a time,
When I couldn’t write for you.

I’d reached my culmination
Of finding Thoughts and Muses too,
To put into Rhymes and Verses,
For as a Poet ~ that’s what I do.

I presented two of my poems,
To the Lord Mayor of Nottingham,
At a Presentation Ceremony,
At the Council House there in Nottingham.

With children from Lenton Sands,
The School I first attended there,
We went to the Lord Mayor’s Parlour,
Where my Poems by all will be stared.

To commemorate the Lives of my Parents
In Nottingham, were the poems given,
And what they did for the Community,
Now that their Souls are both in Heaven.
