At What Cost - Poem by Shannon Snyder
How important is a life when it is not worth living?
When no one cares and no one's there
How important are we?
If you died tonight would anybody notice?
Sure you'd be missed but
at what cost did they make you do this?
Did you choose this path, or was it the only one left?
At what cost were you forced to take this course?
At what cost were you neglected to the point
where there was no one to turn to.
At what cost?
Just a single life
