Atrox Poem by Heather Hooper

Atrox

A cold dark shadow lurks around you in the dark.
You can fell its touch as you walk down the street alone.
It watches you, where ever you go, what ever you do.
Haunting you like a bad dream that just won't go away.
Neon yellow eyes, you just can't look away.
It takes your hand and leads you to the darkest of places.
You see them go through the fire, they are now followers.
They pull you through it, now you can never go back.
Your one of them now, a shadow in the night.
Your once icy blue eyes, a shallow gray.
It can get into your mind, and read you like an open book.
Twisting and fighting, but nothing you do can get it away.
Now you bend and move with the darkness,
as a follower of the Atrox
