August Boy Poem by Belle Violet

August Boy

Come and sunbathe with me,
lay with me,
stay with me,
or better, you can crawl
into the shade with me
and I'll let you play with me.
I'll make it unbearably
difficult for you
to keep your hands out of this tiny
white bathing suit.
And you'll forget the lips
of all those other girls
because mine will wind up anywhere
and I'll rock your world.
You sweat,
I'll get wet,
and we can melt in this heat together.
I rather like the idea
of us being steam powered.
Please say I can lick
the salt from your neck
and work my way down
your glistening chest.
And you can look up
to watch me building up
to a finale more impressive,
say,
than fireworks on
Independence Day.
