Aunt Cecilia....And Uncle Elbert Poem by James B. Earley

Aunt Cecilia....And Uncle Elbert

Rating: 3.3

Elbert...the fog is thick this morning
I'm not so sure...that you can see
......Aw-shucks.....relax Cecilia
Don't concern yourself with me

As well you know...this road I've traveled
Some forty years.....without a hitch
Aunt Cecilia...missed...her bus that morning
When Uncle Elbert...failed....to miss the ditch

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha... I had two completely different reactions to this poem. The first one had me thinking both Aunt Cecilia and Uncle Elbert had gone to the great beyond... then I scrolled down and read the comment from Uncle Elbert... sent me right back up for another read of this delightfully amusing poem. Thanks for the laugh James, Shirley
