Austin's Eyes Poem by Ashley Root

The power that Austin's eyes have over me amazes me everyday,
Bringing bliss to my life in a very unique way.
Looking at him, I can't help but smile,
Feeling something I haven't felt in a while.
Watching him grow, it's like I'm in a trance.
Going from diapers and pull-ups to his 'big boy pants'
Soon he'll grow up and leave my side,
No longer will he want to run and hide.
So, what is it I see in Austin's eyes?
I see the world, but without the lies.
