Autumn’s Song Poem by Patricia Gale

Autumn’s Song

Rating: 5.0

Chilly breezes of autumn’s song
Whispers good byes with every day
Leaves of amber and yellow gold
Land beneath the ground below

Branches out stretched softly sway
Waving farewell to a season passing
Straw flowers give their finally bloom
As the last petal from the rose is carried away

Ashes rest from fires glow
And feathered friends fly here no more
Harsh winds tell all it is time
To embrace for winter’s prime

Rest sweetly autumn, sleep well with in the earth
Till nature bids you forth
Returning radiant colors of a season cherished
And the harvest of a new year
