Avenue Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Avenue

Rating: 5.0

(dedicated to Missy Melita, a poet friend at poemhunter)

I sail until Gibraltar
Through fire, ice, tornado
I gallantly challenge destiny
Who’s in my side now?
Black balloons flew into dew
Accompany me, O ventriloquist!

(inspired by David Lee Roth’s Just Like Paradise)

The avenues of fate, destined to chaste. Life's sweet taste, slashing in my mind's embrace. Compact yet avery nice piece to ponder at. a 10.
