Awake Poem by Alan Kuc

Awake

Rating: 5.0

A cold night approaches
dragging behind it the silent
remorse of yesterday's self
speaking in a slow hum of the leafs
blowing in the wind
Can you hear it?
You're passing by the same old place
never knowing, never seeing the beauty,
the past
unconscious mind awakens
and plays in the dancing light
the fire is burning
Shattered pieces fall to the infinite ocean
where all life comes from
Who am I?
The doors are open
come inside the broken world where i retire
Don't mind the snakes
