A rock and the sea, The sky above me Facetious lappings Some waves breaking A slight breeze, a dream. That is all I need.
Perhaps a seagull Laughing and glinding Between two whispers Of a sunny morning. A pen and some sheets That is all I need.
There am I, parted from the world From scratching noise, constant whirls The gull is there to make clearer What ears would never dare remember: The fears and the struggles, Left hopes, human despair, All these things once heard, And so promptly muffled into oblivion
In its laughter the gull is right My fading dream comes back to life This hollow wish was the true line Of nothing but a selfish mind.
A rock and the sea, The sky above me Facetious lappings Some waves breaking A slight breeze, a dream.
Is it really all that I need?
