Away Like Star Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Away Like Star

Rating: 3.0

It could not reach that far
She was far away like star
I gave another call proudly
Still could not be heard even though sent loudly

It was only month old meet
We smiled and exchanged greetings
It was not all that planned
But I thought it was well timed

I was not to be united
Not to have any bond that kept knitted
“In lovely bond “as people sweetly termed
Now it was not over and felt it was my turn

It was occasional meet in between
She was not seen and I was very much keen
There was no trace of her
I could not find her anywhere

I was feeling isolated
Even though it was not deeply related
She had entered like fragrance with gentle air
I thought, “to go” after her, won’t be proper

There was no other go then to whisper
With words that could hardly be heard
But alas! impatience was cutting me into pieces
I wanted to give her golden promises

“So you hear me “I spoke towards sky
I waited it to echo for long and gave another try
It was paying no result
I thought to go back and consult

Some message was lying on the floor
It was with the clip and near the door
How foolish I was, mean and poor!
So much happiness to show it here therefore
