apnii aahaT ke Khauf se larzaaN
surKh aaNchal meN muuNh Chhupaaye hue
apne Khat mujh se lene aayii thii
us kii sehmii huii nigaahoN meN
kitnii Khaamosh iltijaayeN thiiN
us ke chehre kii zard rangat meN
kitnii majabuurioN ke saaye the!
mere haathoN se Khat pakaRte hii
jaane kyaa soch kar achaanak voh,
meraa shaanaa pakaR ke royii thii
us ke yaaquut rang hoThoN ke
kap_kapaate hue kinaaroN par

sard shaamoN meN der tak aksar
jab ye manzar dikhaayii detaa hai
