Baby God Poem by felix paintwhenpainted

Baby God

Growing, mindless, fat child
when it sneezes the screeches go wild
100 foot tall toddler in a nappy
surrounded by a billion creatures slavishly happy
all deviously attempting to interpret its farts and gurgles
don't worry they, say, its wisdom will guide you through life's hurdles
the baby crawls a few aimless feet
accidentally squashes half of its worshipers into road-side meat
but why, oh chubby one? why have i deserved such scorn?
you heathen! correct the other half. don't question the divine! , they warn!

accept your fate to be a worthless pancake
go to sleep and don't ever think and awake
the giant baby has mapped out each individual future
so just give up on any logic and become a purer creature
don't ever remember who you once were or still are
you wont turn back, your in too long and far

so step up to the empty plate
defend your ignorance with animalistic hate
don't accept change, don't stare and stand aside
or else the baby might grow up and tear your beliefs open wide
what happens? when all the other creatures stop believing in your theocracy?
will you scream and cry and accuse? will you sink into deep hypocracy?

your faith has long ago dwindled
but you were righteous, and with the open heathens u never mingled
you made a logical choice
thats what faith meant: just not expressing your voice
that the way to heaven and not fire
was to let the baby crush you like a giant tire

instead of just getting the hell out of the giant babies way
the creatures all bowed down to its wide-eyed love and hoped it would pay
