Baby's Smile

His baby's smile, genuine and sweet
will always extend its warmth
and melt away the ice that surrounds me
...No one else can melt it in this way

His nose, his eyes, his everything
is telling me to fight off the sadness and the doubt
With the sight of his baby's smile
I feel I'll make it out alright

Ere the evening lamps are lighted,
