emotions rocking my body
i held on when you said no
with my heart in your hands
it sank right into the ocean bed

you left a note saying you're sorry
i miss you
like the grass misses the rain
i don't wanna talk about
the way you broke my heart

i yearn for your touch
even though you hurt me so badly
i yearn to hear your voice
even though you hurled at me

baby, you don't know what it's like
to love somebody, to love somebody
the way i love you.
