Back Again Poem by ana orozco

Back Again

Rating: 5.0

Drifting away the day you left,
Broken to pieces I lay
Shortness of breath keeps coming on
Just dreading the mournful days.

Counting and waiting for you to come back
Awaiting your arrival in bliss
Waiting to have you in my arms again
And yearning for the first kiss,

My heart yearns for yours
in all the days to come.
Until in my arms
Your Presence remains
Untouched by anyone.

So far away from love and desire
Pulled out abruptly I can only conspire
A day of admittance to the feelings in air
And a whole ratification of what all seems fair.

Mournfulness and deprivation
Of what I once called mine,
Letting wolves and scavengers
On my poor old heart dine

The dangers entice what has lain down to bed
It draws my poor heart to surface
I lay in wait for your presence in time
And burn my sense in a furnace

The end has come but also gone
Why am I still alone?
Did you not follow what I had for you?
The light that shimmered of gold.

I am lost in a sea of despair,
I am driven to point of convergence
From loving you to setting you free
It seems so much less important.

My eyes grow weary, my legs they wobble
My face it’s expression has lost
I’m tired of waiting, and never receiving
You finally came, but at cost.
