Back And Forth Poem by Stevo Junior

Back And Forth

Back and forth – the fingers move
Tell – if this be real
Or maybe in life’s waiting room
In dreams – from life they steal

Which life is it, that’s real or not?
My dreams are all my life
Or just the end that we forgot?
Is life to be alive?

Is death the true awakening?
To dreams where there’s no pain
The open eyes are frightening
To find no soul that’s sane…

Eternal sleep does peaceful rest
Fear not, the dreaded side
The path will take us to the jest
Where dreams are not to chide
