Back And Forth Poem by William Blake Beckett

Back And Forth

Paper planes
fly across the room
back
and forth

Booming laughs
echo against walls
back
and forth

The teacher
flips through book pages
back
and forth

One student
Writes words on paper
Holding his silence
Beginning to boil
Raging in his mind
Seeks serenity
Finds insanity
No more room to breathe
Crimson pen strokes scream—

back
and forth
