Back As Us Again Poem by bakuli bhakali

Back As Us Again

Rating: 5.0

Good manners
Nurtured in us
Social consciences
They’re just sciences
For-
Another form of slavery
And a good sign of snobbery
But
Look at the stars
And sun
And moon
And trees
And animals
They’re
As they were
Nature’s charm
Without any harm
Why can’t we just undress?
And leave this race
Thinking of no loss and no gain
Just be you, me and us, again!

Manners, morality; ritualistic, mechanic gestures just for the sake of being 'socially acceptable' and blah blah, are worse than being crude, bizarre, and HONEST... A very well written poem again Bakuli.. We should indeed present our 'naked' selves, not the timid 'censored', selectively chosen selves..
