Back To The Roots Poem by Anuradha Krishnan

Back To The Roots

Rating: 4.5

At last, it's fall
Ochre so blissful and melancholic
What the leaf thought while it fell?
Haa...how futile the theatre of Life
Did it look back or forward?
Could see Ochre and maroon with no green around
All those times of Greeny green
Never thought such a day would come
Where should I look? Up or down!
Path I left behind or the way to soil
All seems like a tumultuous tick
And now the peace of Soil and roots.
