Back To Where I've Started Poem by diana rose tolentino

Back To Where I've Started

Rating: 4.0

I found you when I was trying to forget
someone to whom I have been so hurt.
Sad and lonely and ever so vulnerable
My heart had wavered for a minute or so.
So I've painted all my fantasies of you.

Never have I imagined I'd be back to where I've started.
The feeling the pain twice as much for what I suffered
Pictures of happiness remained portraits of dreams
Woven on the romantic nightmares of heart in pain
pencil sketches that easily vanished come morning.
Reminiscing the moments, clear yet so unreal
Back to where I have started, I am trying to forget.
