Bad Dream Poem by Sheldon Carruthers

Bad Dream

Life keeps lingering on
all my happiness has gone
my worries have doubled
since you burst this bubble
now what did I do wrong
like living in limbo when your single
a bitter pill to swallow
for life seems rather hollow
follow the leader but the leader's dead
follow your dreams but I dream no more
I lye there listless upon the shore
a door opens but who for
God is a dreamer we are his dream
for him it's okay but for us it's a sin
