Balance Poem by Katie Figueroa

Balance

He makes the Earth move under my feet
Sets the stars, sun, and moon in place.
In Him I am complete.
Through the Spirit I'm held by His loving embrace.
Life's lessons seem hard as I run this race.
Yet, each step upward a violent struggle,
As my heart heeds His urgent call.
I must keep up the pace,
If I am to win this race.
Others lie watching, waiting...
Depending upon decisions I may make.
Yet, evil keeps on hating.
But in God there is an equating.
His truth and love always shine through
As a beacon piercing the darkness,
Encouraging the wandering soul,
Leaving it healthy, healed, and whole.
