Balance Poem by Jason Wittke

Balance

Though I walk in darkness,
I do not fear the light.
For the shadows define it,
As it defines the shadows.
To deny one is to destroy the other.
Though I walk in light,
I do not fear the darkness,
For the darkness is always present.
And mid of night
Is as sacred
As a Sunday morn.
And the stars and the moon over a forest
Are as beautiful as the sun.
I am the darkness and the light.
I walk both in light and shadow,
And I fear neither.
