Bankok's Ladyboys Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Bankok's Ladyboys

The very sight of them dancing
Will deceive your human senses
Seductive shemales inviting
Will break your moral defenses.

They are Bankok's ladyboys
Men who wanted to be a She
Have made their bodies into a toy
Marred their humanity, obviously.

Beyond the facade of revelry
Lies a soul that has no peace
Behind the mask of fake beauty
Lies the question, 'Am I happy with this? '

Their beauty pales the normal woman
Their faces like that of myth goddesses
But look into their eyes and there find a man
Who is lost and tormented...and godless.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Juan Olivarez 09 March 2012

My son is a Marine, and when the fleet stopped in Thailand he was horrified at the corruption and the poverty there. He told us that young girls ten and twelve years old are sold into prostitution, and that there are many shemales in all the bars. He was totally disgusted with it all. Another eye opening poem.
