Banner Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Banner

Banner

The banner waving in the sky,
Spoke to me of past glories gone by.
Our nation spoke to me,
Of free speech, of liberty.

The banner waved high.
The sentiment meant much
That our nation had learned
All the lessons it could.

It still withstood
The tests of time,
And this banner kept flying high.
Nothing gone awry.

The bad times were really bad,
And every nation had,
It's own ones.
Still this banner flies high.
