    Ha! The titles says it all and captures the thoughts and ideas that flow through any bar but in this scene I picture an English pub. Very well done and amusing read and very enjoyable! Allan Gerard (Report) Reply

    Hi Hazel, I love the scene you've captured in this poem - I felt like I was there! I've been to a few bars in my life, but that lifestyle never really attracted me.....probably because drink was one of my father's escapes and his drinking caused many abusive domestic situations. By the time I was 16 I twice was in court to testify against him. By 18 my grandmother (his mother) died and within 2 weeks after he left for another woman, leaving my mum with 8 children,6 of them under the age of 18. I don't have a problem with people drinking socially but I don't condone drinking and abusive behavior. (Report) Reply

    Now, where, exactly, is this pub? Mine seems full of old men in wigs, sat with old women who smell of old cigs! (Report) Reply

That is for ever England. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
