Barbed Wire Poem by Faith Riggs

Barbed Wire

Rating: 4.8

Barbed wire locks them in
And all the eyes are filled with tears
In the children you see the fears
Of what is to come and what is near
We say it won't and yet we lie
For sooner or later we will all die
Parents protest, and children cry
While babies have an endless sleep
And all the unlucky ones burn
Some are tortured
And others shot
Whilst some ar hungry
Or just killed by gas
Yet all the while
We wish it gone
And just to be
Back inside
The Barbed Wire
