Barfly… Poem by Mark Heathcote

Barfly…

No one sees me no one must care
I've been here a long, long time now,
I've got no friends at the local bar
I must be invisible what do I care
I've nobody who loves me, anyhow.

Then by chance - I fall-in-love
She was an angel, gave me my serenity;
Now I'm by her side I'm-full-of mush.
And biochemically always in a rush
To see her again, accidentally.
