Basic Humanity



After presenting pens to the garbage men
and thanking them for what they do
I returned to bed and wife
And thought those fellows on that big truck are what I believe in
Basic Humanity - perhaps saints - but probably
No greater sinner than myself
Writing poetry in bed with a nice pen after getting the garbage out.
