Basket Holes Poem by SylvaOnyema (SUPER.T) Ubah

Basket Holes

How long shall those tears
Drop into that basket holes
Limousines and Okada sink
In that road too

But how long shall those tears
Drop into that basket holes
Light arrested
Fire liberated

How long shall those tears
Drop into that basket holes
Men of books
Carrying papers in vain

But truly I ask
How long shall those tears
Drop into that basket
Destitute and scavengers
Swallow that beautiful city of Canaan

...sink in that road too. Here the poet paints the image of a deplorable road that needs urgent attention
