Basketball By James Choi Poem by James Choi

Basketball By James Choi

You're my life more than my life
This may be an off day,
But I treat you like my game day
Because you're holding my life with the 2 big hands

The never-ending game,
Me matching myself
No timeouts, no whistles, and no competitions
I could be with it all day
Shooting, Sprinting, Shooting Sprinting…

There's winning and there's losing
In life, both will happened
But what is not acceptable, quitting
Never wait until changes happen
You go out and make the changes
Shooting, Sprinting, Shooting Sprinting…

You have to try and dare to take that shot
If you discourage yourself, you're only going to fail
Basketball isn't just something you play for fun
Basketball is life

Basketball never stops
Life is always better when we play basketball
Basketball isn't just a sport
It's a lifestyle
