Battle Scars Poem by June FeirCruz

Battle Scars

Rating: 5.0

'Never again, would I want to feel the hurt
Of feeling so jaded and so lost' I heard you say
I see such fear and honesty in your eyes
I know you have your own share of dissolution
Love for the longest time was just an illusion.

No more battle scars in your life
You are so fortunate you made it this far
For lovers now are just diversions
You can't have anyone breaking down your defenses

You need not tell me, it isn't this way
For no one was born yesterday.

The rabid reality of hurt cause many to say the never word. Many can identify with your poem and it is well written.I really like it.
