Be At Peace Poem by Marie J. Christopher

Be At Peace

Be at peace to be in communion with God.
Flawed yourself, then forgive others, don't commit anger.
With fervor, pray for your enemies while you suffer.
Linger not any earthly things or carnal desires.
Admire not the beauties of yourself or of any humans.
Concern only on God and His will.
Willfully do think of Him always.
Do not go astray while living for God alone;
No concern on anything nor anybody.
Sparingly think of yourself and your own interests.
Trust no inner feelings except feeling of love.
Long for eternity while disregard the whole world,
Like Whirlwind which lulls souls into all its vain glories.
Glorify our Lord by remembering His passion and Cross,
Feel loss and remorse while contemplating the causes of His death, our sins.
From the beginning, treasure beautiful memories between you and God;
then laud for the whole lifetime the memories of love.
Cover, suppress all which fill with bitterness and vengeance,
As fragrance remains in righteousness.
Blessed, so do the best you can to please Him in minute details of every minute.
Complete all things justly without any regret nor fear.
Tearfully or humbly accept other's opinion on self,
For true self is merely a big zero.
Bestow each moment to divine Grace,
For Grace, the present moment is created.
Elated to live each moment intensely,
Simply, lovingly, perfectly,
Kindly with willful thoughts,
Besought to please Heavenly Father.
Offer to Him all just things alone you care,
Glaringly shines all determination and goodness.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
(I experiment with new rhyming method in which rhymes are placed at the beginning of each alternate sentence for it seems to punctuate well for the litany-styled meditation. Hope you like it.)
